"To Marina, a memory from your grandmother, with love" Ayaya. 
MEA AYAYA in Sardinian means: my grandmother. Mine gave me her wedding ring shortly before she disappeared: a golden filigree ring that I had always seen on the fingers of the women in my family. Paying homage to this lineage, perpetuating this bond, means ensuring the permanence of this traditional Sardinian jewel and offering the women of my generation the brilliance and appeal of a timeless jewel that makes sense.

 

A RING, A GRANDMOTHER. At the heart of this project: the ineffable bond between a grandmother and her granddaughter. For the launch of the brand, echoing MEA AYAYA filigree ring, I asked sixty women to tell me about their grandmother and the iconic jewel that embodied their personality. Each jewel in this first collection bears one of their nicknames, one of their faces and one of their stories to celebrate their uniqueness.

OUR COMMITMENTS :
ETHICAL AND TRANSPARENT JEWELLERY. MEA AYAYA supports excellent craftsmanship and and the expertise of an ancestral know-how. Our jewellery is made exclusively in a small workshop in the heart of Sardinia. It is important to us not only to guarantee the origin of our jewellery, but also to sell it fairly and on demand. We therefore produce in small quantities (which explains our three-week production time!). This allows us to fight, on our own scale, against the consequences of overproduction. Our jewellery is delivered in a delicate, minimalist and recyclable packaging.
SUSTAINABLE JEWELLERY. MEA AYAYA is committed to the action against Fast Fashion and the race for new collections. Our challenge? To offer only a few timeless pieces that stand the test of time and remain magnificently attractive.
A WELL WRINKLED JEWELLERY! As you will find out in our upcoming and very first campaign, MEA AYAYA models are aged between 70 and 80 years old. They are the ones who embody with panache and elegance the timeless femininity that matters to us.
